FIRST IVLP ALUMNUS APPOINTED AS MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF INTERNATIONAL VISITORS (NCIV)
Washington, DC – February, 2013. The National Council for International Visitors (NCIV) held its National Meeting in Washington, DC, with the participation of representatives from CIVs, NPAs, the U.S. State Department, and Alumni Associations from all over the world.
This important meeting was the occasion to introduce the incoming NCIV Chairman, Kyle Moyer, and the new Board members. Amongst them, Ricardo Vanella – President of REAL (Argentine-American Network for Leadership) and of IANA (IVLP Alumni Network of the Americas) – was appointed as the first alumnus becoming a Board member in NCIV fifty-year-history .

NCIV is the American national office for 92 Councils throughout the country that work in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and other exchange programs. NCIV members organize professional appointments, cultural activities, and home visits for foreign leaders participating in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and other exchanges. Each year more than 80,000 volunteers – «citizen diplomats» – are involved in NCIV member activities. This network was nominated for the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize.
